Gradings & Progression

Krav Maga does not have the same grading & belts structure that you may find in Martial Arts. The Krav Maga grading system is divided into 4 categories; Practitioner, Graduate, Expert and Master. Each level has it own badges of merit and are colour coded as described.

Practioner Level (P1-P5) These are Krav Maga students. Their grading patches are brown with black bars. 2 bars = Practitioner Level 2 (P2) |

Graduate Level (G1-G5) These are mainly Krav Maga instructors, although there are Graduate level students who have not taken the instructors certification. Graduate's grading patches are dark blue with silver bars. 5 bars = Graduate Level 5 (G5) |

Expert Level (E1-E5) These are high level instructors. Usually specialising or assisting in other areas such as Law Enforcememnt or Special Units, in addition to their general qualification. Their grading patches are gold with black bars. 1 bar = Expert Level 1 (E1) |
There are also Military and Law Enforcement Level instructors (not shown).
